Computers now doing most of the weeding out
“I analyze the target announcement and look for the top five to seven skills: adviser, briefing manager, project manager, PowerPoint developer and so forth.
“Then I look at the resume. I make a game out of it, actually. If the resume doesn’t hit the top skills, the applicant basically missed the point because they didn’t read the announcement close enough. I teach people how to integrate the skills into their resume so it will come up in the system.” (more…)
Congress adjourns for election with work unfinished

WASHINGTON - Leaving behind a pile of unfinished work, members of the scandal-rocked U.S. Congress adjourned and went home on Saturday to ask voters to re-elect them in five weeks.

Senate Environment Committee chair says global warming is media hysteria

Global warming is a myth created by media hysteria, says Senator James Inhofe (R-OK). Inhofe, who is Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, went on Fox News to counter the “lies” told by most of the media.

Israeli troop pullout from Lebanon

Israel’s army left all of south Lebanon except for one small border village on Sunday, as part of a handover to the Lebanese army and U.N. peacekeepers under the truce that ended a war with Hizbollah fighters.
