“Official” 9/11 story On Life support; The Truth is Taking Over
October 16th, 2006
The gutless purveyors of fraud trying to shout down the 9/11 Truth movement are not going to like this news. The “official” story is on life support, and the prognosis is not good.
A new New York Times/CBS poll reveals that only 16 percent of Americans think they’re being told the whole truth about 9/11, down from 21 percent in May of 2002. Over this same period, the number who believe the administration is “hiding something” has actually decreased from 65 to 53 percent, which might seem odd, but only until you take into account that the ranks of those who think the Bush crime family is “mostly lying” has skyrocketed from 8 to 28 percent. Feelings are getting stronger. Skepticism is giving way to certainty. The 9/11 Truth Movement is growing exponentially. (more…)

9/11 Poll Results: 2002-2006
October 16th, 2006
As previously reported, only 16% of Americans think the government is telling the truth about 9/11.
We’ve also discussed results for the same poll as conducted in May 2002. I have also located results for the same poll from May 2004.
So here are the side-by-side results of the poll for 2002, 2004 and 2006 (the 2004 poll actually gives results for 3 different polling periods, in late March and early April 2004; for simplicity, I will just use the early April figures, which were taken right around the time of Richard Clarke’s testimony to the 9/11 Commission):
| May 2002 | May 2004 | Oct. 2006 | |
| Telling the truth | 21% | 24% | 16% |
| Hiding something | 65% | 56% | 53% |
| Mostly lying | 8% | 16% | 28% |
| Not Sure | 6% | 4% | 3% |
So what do these results tell us? (more…)

‘Hero of Guantanamo’ on Detainee Bill: ‘I Don’t Believe’ It Will ‘Match Constitutional Muster’
October 16th, 2006
Lt. Commander Charles Swift, the lawyer who represented Guantanamo detainee Salim Hamdan in the landmark Supreme Court case that ruled President Bush’s military commissions unconstitutional and in violation of international law, appeared on C-Span yesterday to take questions from viewers. Swift has been dubbed the “hero of Guantanamo,” yet he was recently “passed over for promotion” by the Pentagon.
Swift spoke forcefully against the detainee legislation the House and Senate approved in September. “Unfortuantely,” Swift said, Congress did “exactly what Justice Kennedy told them not to do” and passed “legislation that was done in the heat of the moment.” “I don’t believe that it’s going to match constitutional muster when the courts have an opportunity to take a look at it,” Swift added.
