CHICAGO (Reuters) - A device that appeared to be a bomb was found under an overpass on a busy Interstate highway near Cincinnati on Wednesday, and local media said a bomb squad removed and destroyed it.
The device that “had a clock, battery, fuse and some wires hooked to it” was found by state road workers operating in the area on Interstate 71, officer Tim Brown of the police department in Norwood, Ohio, said. He said the FBI had been called in to investigate.
Local media said it appeared to have been an incendiary device and that explosive charges were used to destroy it.
