LondonNo terror attack over holidays proves one of two things

Do miracles really happen? Jesus turned water into wine, but do the spooks that staff the hierarchies of the British and American intelligence establishment possess the same divine powers? Or were they simply lying again when it was sternly reported that only a “miracle” would prevent London from being attacked by terrorists over the holiday period?

British Home Secretary John Reid, former hardcore Stalinist, member of the Scottish Communist Party and an alcoholic bully with a penchant for thumping people in the face, reiterated the threat that it was “highly likely” that terrorists would attempt an attack before the first of the year.

“It will be a miracle if there isn’t a terror attack over the holidays in London,” a senior American law enforcement official told ABCNews.com on December 21st.

By that logic, the fact that a terror attack did not happen proves one of two things - that miracles really do happen in the modern world or governments are lying to us about terrorism in order to scare populations into accepting the deliberately engineered drift towards authoritarianism.

Which do you think it is? (more…)

Al Qaeda Doesn’t Exist

January 2nd, 2007

There’s no such thing as al Qaeda, or al Qaida, or however you want to spell it. It’s a fraud perpetrated on the American people by our own government to scare us into submission. This is a clip from the excellent three-part BBC documentary “The Power of Nightmares”. You can watch the whole thing on Google Video or download it at scholarsfor911truth.org.

I love It’s a Wonderful Life because it teaches us that family, friendship, and virtue are the true definitions of wealth.

In 1947, however, the FBI considered this anti-cosumerist message as subversive Communist propaganda (read original FBI memo).

According to Professor John Noakes of Franklin and Marshall College, the FBI thought Life smeared American values such as wealth and free enterprise while glorifying anti-American values such as the triumph of the common man.

The FBI specifically detested the way Mr. Potter was portrayed:

The casting of Lionel Barrymore as a “scrooge-type” resulted in the loathsome Mr. Potter becoming the most hated person in the film. According to the official FBI report, “this was a common trick used by the communists.” (more…)

The Power of Propaganda

December 29th, 2006

Gen. Augusto Pinochet served as president of Chile during a troubled period of that country’s history. His fate was to become the world’s most demonized person in the last quarter of the 20th century, and his death on December 10, 2006, was met with a new outpouring of denunciation by the international left.

Just as the neoconservative Bush regime had no factual basis for its demonization of Iraqi president Saddam Hussein as a threat who would arm terrorists with weapons of mass destruction to be used against America, the international left has scant evidence in behalf of its demonization of Pinochet.

Unlike Bush’s war on terror in which US troops are fighting abroad, Pinochet was confronted with an indigenous terrorist movement. Chilean terrorists engaged in assassinations and bombings of public infrastructure. Pinochet was able to put down real terrorist movements with less damage to Chile’s civil liberties than Bush’s trumped-up “war on terror” has caused to America’s. (more…)

Study Examined 1918-19 Outbreak

An influenza pandemic of the type that ravaged the globe in 1918 and 1919 would kill about 62 million people today, with 96 percent of the deaths occurring in developing countries.

That is the conclusion of a study published yesterday in the Lancet medical journal, which uses mortality records kept by governments during the time of “Spanish flu” to predict the effect of a similarly virulent outbreak in the contemporary world.

The analysis, the first of its kind, found a nearly 40-fold difference in death rates between central India, the place with the highest recorded mortality, and Denmark, the country with the lowest. The reason for the huge variation is not known, but it may reflect differences in nutrition and crowding.

If a modern Spanish flu killed all its victims in one year, it would more than double global mortality. About 59 million people now die each year. (more…)

Margaret Beckett reopened the controversy over the Government’s dossier about Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction when she admitted yesterday that ministers had realised before the invasion the claim that they could be deployed in 45 minutes was probably wrong.

The Foreign Secretary said the 45-minute claim was of “little relevance” and used only once.

“Perhaps people began to quickly think ‘I’m not sure about that’,” she told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

The claim – that Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) could be used within 45 minutes of Saddam Hussein giving the order to deploy them – was contained in the Government’s dossier in September 2002 making the case for the conflict. (more…)

Iraq’s vice-president claims Tony Blair was “brainwashed” by President Bush into not setting a timetable for troop withdrawal from Iraq.

Tareq al-Hashemi suggested Mr Blair had supported his idea of announcing a timetable, but then changed his mind after talking to Mr Bush.

The two leaders discussed the issue about three months ago, after which the PM was to raise the issue with Mr Bush.

The US president has so far refused to set a timetable for troop withdrawals. (more…)

CAIRO, Egypt — An Islamic militant Web site announced Monday that Osama bin Laden’s second-in-command would soon release a new message addressing the conflict between Muslims and infidels.

The Internet advertisement banner for Egyptian-born Ayman al-Zawahri, al-Qaida’s No. 2, did not specify when the message would be released or whether it would be a video, an audiotape or text.

The announcement, displayed on a site frequently used by militants, carried the logo of al-Qaida’s media production wing — al-Sahaba — which usually releases videos.

“The truth about the clash between Islam and Infidels, by sheik Ayman al-Zawahri, may God protect him,” said the posting, which showed a picture for al-Zawahri. (more…)

WASHINGTON — The White House on Thursday defended President George W. Bush’s rare use of a body count to describe Iraqi insurgent deaths as a way to show Americans that U.S. troops are fighting hard in Iraq.

Bush said on Wednesday on a visit to the Pentagon that U.S. and Iraqi forces had killed or captured 5,900 of the enemy during the months of October, November and early December.

It was a rare use of a body count by the president and came after public opinion polls said many Americans are concerned about rising U.S. casualties and believe the United States is losing the war in Iraq.

White House spokesman Tony Snow said one reason Bush gave the body count number was to offset concern about U.S. casualties and deaths that included 103 in October alone. (more…)

From PP: Notice how this is “good news” in order to sell people on the ID card. We have an ID card but if anyone calls it that they go to prison.

Bank or pub workers who demand their customers produce the Federal Government’s new smartcard as a form of ID could go to jail for up to five years or be fined $55,000, under draft legislation.

Companies that demand the card would face fines of up to $275,000.

The Government’s $1.1 billion access card will replace up to 17 social service cards such as the Medicare card by 2010 and will be required by anyone who wants to get government benefits. (more…)

In May of 2005, a Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) task force released “Building a North American Community”, a blueprint for merging the United States, Mexico and Canada into one country called “North America”. The plan, which is being implemented via the Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement signed last year between the leaders of the three countries, will destroy the sovereignty of the USA. The United States will cease to exist as an independent nation. The United States Constitution , including the Bill of Rights, will be extinct. Implementation of such a plan is, therefore, by definition, an act of TREASON. No other word fits the crime.

Critical to the execution of this high crime is the careful application of propaganda. To that end, the academic community within the United States is being enlisted to sell the idea that destroying America is a good idea. On page 29 of “Building a North American Community” is a recommendation to “Develop a network of centers for North American studies…We recommend that the three governments open a competition and provide grants to universities in each of the three countries to promote courses, education, and research on North America…”

Arizona State University is one of the first academic traitors to volunteer to sell out American sovereignty. ASU have put up a website, http://www.asu.edu/clas/nacts/bna, intended to be an instructional tool to assist and encourage professors to teach the concept of “North America” to their unwitting student body. PlaneCourt clears Rauf of charges as much vaunted transatlantic airliner attack dissipates into another staged terror alert

The alleged ringleader of a much vaunted plot to blow up multiple transatlantic airliners using liquid explosives has been cleared of terrorism charges and of being a member of any terrorist group, rendering August’s terror scare another hyped creation of government scare mongering.

In every single major terror bust or terror alert we have proven the evidence to be flawed and the charges to be cooked up nonsense aimed at prolonging the illusion that terror cells are lurking around every corner waiting to cause mayhem. The geopolitical agenda of the U.S., Britain and Israel depends on the proliferation phony terror threats in order to continue the farcical war on terror and take more of our innate freedoms at home to stifle dissent against the plot for worldwide hegemony.

The supposed transatlantic bomb plot has dissipated into another staged terror alert. (more…)

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration warned Wednesday against threats by terrorist groups and other nations against U.S. commercial and military satellites, and discounted the need for a treaty aimed at preventing an arms race in space.

Undersecretary of State Robert G. Joseph also reasserted U.S. policy that it has a right to use force against hostile nations or terror groups that might try to attack American satellites or ground installations that support space programs. President Bush adopted a new U.S. space policy earlier this year.

“We reserve the right to defend ourselves against hostile attacks and interference with our space assets,” Joseph said in prepared remarks to the George C. Marshall Institute. (more…)

No War on Christmas

December 12th, 2006

Since I’ve given up watching the chattering class on cable news and the network Sunday talk shows, I don’t know what phony controversies they are currently stirring up. If one of them is the old “war on Christmas,” don’t buy it.

Christmas is a Christian holiday, but you don’t have to repent of your sins and be baptized to enjoy it. The Christmas tree and the exchange of gifts are not part of the religious aspects of the holiday. Anybody who wants to can have a Christmas tree and exchange gifts. Even Santa Claus is today only remotely connected to St. Nicholas, the patron saint of Russia.

Sextus Julius Africanus designated Dec. 25 as Christmas in 221 A.D. It was celebrated in Rome by 336 A.D. During medieval times, when Europe was known as Christendom, it was a very popular holiday, and new religious services were written for it. (more…)

An attempted terrorist attack in Britain over the Christmas period is “highly likely”, the Home Secretary said today.

John Reid said that around 30 conspiracies were under preparation, and the current threat level was “very high indeed”.

He told GMTV Sunday that he did not think it an attack was inevitable, but that “the terrorists only have to get through once, as they did on July 7, for us to see the terrible carnage that it causes”. (more…)
